Indosat Pertama di Asia Terapkan Akses 42 Mbps

Indosat becomes the first operator in Asia to implement the DC HSPA + as well as second in the world after Australia's Telstra to increase the access speed of broadband service. These technologies generate data download speeds (downlink) up to 42 Mbps or more than doubled from a maximum access capability of existing infrastructure.

"Last year we launched a 21 Mbps downlink access today is not half-hearted we provide access to 42 Mbps. This is not a trial but ready to wear our customers," said Fadzri Sentosa, Wholesale and Infrastructure Chief Officer and Director of Indosat in Jakarta, Monday (26 / 4 / 2010).

He said the technology used is a dual-carrier high speed packet access (HSPA + DC) from Ericsson. This service can be implemented because of Indosat has gained a new frequency from the government to roll out broadband data services from 5 MHz to 10 MHz.

"With HSPA + 42 Mbps, our capability to serve more customers more open," said Teguh Prasetya, Group Head of VAS Indosat. He hopes that with a greater capacity to improve customer experience to enjoy broadband or high speed data access and data services more attractive Indosat.
